Thermal Storage Solutions to Decarbonize Industrial Heat

Thermal energy storage is a key solution for transitioning heavy industry away from fossil fuels and reducing up to 12 gigatons of annual greenhouse gas emissions. Rondo Energy, a Californian startup, has, for instance, developed a thermal energy storage solution, the Rondo Heat Battery (RHB) that converts electricity from renewable sources like solar and wind into reliable heat and power for heavy industry.
